Home is where you rack your bike, pump your tyres and stock up on gels. Book races, analyse results, heal blisters, clean kit, lace shoes and sleep.

I’ve been doing this triathlon business for 5 years now, and as I learn more (and do more) about training I’ve gotten quicker. How much quicker I can go is still open to debate, but I’m training more, and more intelligently, mostly due to being able to leave the house for training and not being restricted to the turbo trainer.

Goals are always under review, and for the next few years I’ll be looking at going faster over the shorter distances, until the boys are bigger and I can return to long distance racing.
